Flatland (Med Hard) Flatland is a grassy plain terrain. The targets are spread across the ground with a minimum of force fields. If you like flying against AAA and KLA's, try this theater. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------- Welcome to Henderson Field ------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Pandora's Box Direction : South South East Distance : 20 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here is a mission which really should be for the ground forces, but this time it's up to us. There is a site 20 miles south of here which has an orb that is very well defended with force fields. Your secondary mission is to take out the saucer site on the roof, but the primary objective is the generator orb that is lying on its side inside the protective shields. The force fields are so effectively placed that the orb is inaccessible from the air. Set your plane down very gently on the grass, and then taxi over to the parking lot. Take an assassin bomb into the fortress, and place it in the middle of the fallen orb. It may take more than one bomb, so be prepared to get back to your plane for more bombs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : French Poodle Direction : South East Distance : 15 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There's a nasty little gathering of AAA, Mortars, and KLA's to the Southeast of here. Go take it all out. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Garden Patch Direction : North East Distance : 21 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There's a small fuel facility located Northeast of here. It is protected by passive defense and KLA's only. Even though there are no AAA to deal with, getting at these buggers may prove to be difficult. Don't bother trying to take out the blue flashing based orb, it is a new type which is almost indestructible. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------ Welcome to Dulles International Airport ------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Cerebral Dynamite Direction : North West Distance : 20 miles Difficulty : 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The enemy has set up a mindbender unit to the Northwest of this airstrip. Although the installation of an MB unit is always a threat, in this case it is a real emergency. Our intelligence has uncovered an alien scheme to modify a mindbender to instantly drive all humans within a 50 mile radius completely insane. At this moment, the top brass along with the evil alien scientists are celebrating the activation of the unit by partaking in a mind-altering ceremony. Your mission is to sneak upon them, and blow up the MB unit, as well as neutralizing all the aliens. This may be enough to kill the project permanently. The mindbender is operating normally at the moment, so be prepared to face some effects from the MB unit as usual. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : War of the Worlds Direction : North East Distance : 23 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There are 4 saucer sites more than 20 miles North East of here. One site is about 14 miles distant, and then there are two more farther Northeast. Take out these sites, and also any saucers which are left in the air. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------- Welcome to Bubba's Airstrip ----------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Free For All Direction : North North East Distance : 5 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To the north is a very spread out mishmash of enemy forces. Your mission is to destroy dumps, mindbenders, and or anything else you care to blow up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Corncob Direction : West North West Distance : 20 miles Difficulty : 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The largest fuel facility to date is laid out to the North West of here, with only KLA's for defense. Blow up the fuel depot, and detonate the generator orb as a secondary objective. The orbs are all disguised with light distorters, so it's up to you to sort things out when you get there. The layout of this storage area is a bit odd... ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------ Welcome to the Weedsport Airport -------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Available Missions: Mission Code Name : Country Club Direction : South South West Distance : 12 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We have learned of a secret meeting of alien commanders from all over this theater. Among them are going to be some of the monsters responsible for the incineration of Kansas City and Montreal. We need a gutsy pilot to land his plane, and proceed on foot to kill all aliens with his handgun. Choose a protected location to park your plane, or you may be walking home. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Swiss Cheese Direction : North East Distance : 7 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ We don't know what their hiding up to the North East, but whatever it is, it must be good. There are more than 5 top notch AAA sites guarding a lonely orb. Take out the orb any which way you can. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Eye in the Keyhole Direction : East Distance : 7 miles Difficulty : 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The aliens have setup a generator orb under a blanket of forcefields. The problem is that they left a little hole in the center to breathe through. Take out the orb, but don't let the enemy KLA's blow you a new orifice. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ----------------- Welcome to RDU ^international Airport ---------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Stacked Deck Direction : North West Distance : 12 miles Difficulty : 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Three saucers of varying quality are parked in a vertical stack to the Northwest of here. Your mission object is to blow the orb and its stack to kingdom come. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Field 'o Flak Direction : North North East Distance : 15 miles Difficulty : 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is concentration to the north which is a heavy concentration of enemy AAA. Fuel dumps are disguised as small purple spheres. Your mission is to destroy the orb and the fuel dumps. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ --------------- Welcome to Crickety Point Landing Strip ---------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Tribender Direction : North North East Distance : 15 miles Difficulty : 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Three mindbenders are set up amidst a concentration of shopping carts. Blow them up with assassin bombs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------ Welcome to Sweetly Bending Oak Aircraft Park -------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Available Missions: Mission Code Name : Learner's Permit Direction : South East Distance : 8 miles Difficulty : 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ A saucer is parked on the ground amidst an outpost 8 mi south east. There is AAA protecting the site, and some ground transports milling around. Try to cause as much damage to the saucer before it panics and takes off. They have the aircraft hemmed in so tightly that there is a good chance of it hitting their own force fields while trying to escape. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Chocolate Sprinkles Direction : West Distance : 7 miles Difficulty : 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ To the west is a very spread out fuel storage facility. It is poorly defended with AAA and KLA sites. Your orders are to take out all the fuel storage spheres. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Saucer Simplicity Direction : North North East Distance : 7 miles Difficulty : 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The is an undefended lone saucer site to the north of here. Take out the orb and the saucer site there. Also take out any saucers which launch from the site. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Desperate Hammerblow Direction : North West Distance : 7 miles Difficulty : 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is a refinery for the new alien superfuel used only in the top of the line KLA sites near here. The defenses are formidable AAA and KLA. These defenses are so tough that it may be impossible to limp home after receiving the damage that will be dished out to you. However, intelligence reports that there are several portals near the generator orb, and at least one of these portals will pop you back over this airfield. Your mission is to take out the fuel dumps, and then escape the enemy fire via the portal. Be ready to bail in case your plane becomes to damaged to fly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Timothy O'Leary Direction : North East Distance : 15 miles Difficulty : 5 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The medical staff in the surrounding airfields are reporting an anomalously high number of cases of nausea. We believe the aliens to be using some kind of machine which interferes with our minds. The center of the effect lies at a site northeast of here. Your mission is to find the cause of the disturbance, and if possible neutralize it with an assassin bomb. They have built their gathering near an abandon airstrip. Land your plane and do the search on foot. This outpost is protected by high-q AAA, and there also appears to be a saucer site on the premises. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Nearby airstrips with more missions ------------------------------------------------------------------------ North: Easter Island Municipal Air Travel Center East: Weedsport Airport ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------- Welcome to Easter Island Municipal Air Travel Center ---------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Cubic Lattice Direction : West Distance : 11 miles Difficulty : 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Here is yet another fuel storage facility. Here there are no obvious active defense system, although in past attacks there have been systems triggered by air attack, so keep vigilant. Take out all the fuel spheres. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : May Pole Direction : East South East Distance : 6 miles Difficulty : 3 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ An increase in enemy ground transport operations has prompted us to finally attack the vehicle sites to the west of here. There is AAA and KLA defense. The curious mounting of the AAA sites is no doubt an experiment. Your mission objective is to destroy all ground vehicles and their sites. You may blast the orb for dessert if you like. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------------------ -------------- Valmart Airstrip and Family Value Center ---------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Ant Hill Direction : North West Distance : 3 miles Difficulty : 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ There is a large number of ground transports in our immediate vicinity. Though these are mostly just a nuisance, the problem has increased steadily until something must be done soon. Take out all vehicles and vehicle sites near the orb North West of here. Beware of deathballs. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Mission Code Name : Newton's Mistake Direction : North East Distance : 13 miles Difficulty : 2 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ The aliens are just starting a new construction project to the North East of here. Go in there and trash their orbs, but be careful. The scientists are getting some strange readings from that area. ------------------------------------------------------------------------
